Building Information Manager

Grangegorman Development Agency has exclusively retained Steering Point to lead the search for a BIM Information Manager.

The Organisation:

The Grangegorman Development Agency (GDA) is a statutory agency established in 2006 under the Grangegorman Development Agency Act 2005, tasked with one of Dublin’s largest urban regeneration projects in decades. The GDA’s mission is to transform Grangegorman into a vibrant community with a world-class, integrated, and inclusive education, health, and community campus.

To support this, the GDA is recruiting a BIM Information Manager.

The Role:

The BIM Information Manager will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of standard requirements aligned with ISO 19650 and the Building Information Modelling (BIM) Mandate.

This role involves managing and governing digital information across the lifecycle of built assets, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders—including HSE, TU Dublin, and the Department of Education—and ensuring compliance with best practice and project requirements.

The role is part of the Internal Capital Projects team contributing to the delivery of a high-quality, sustainable urban quarter while improving accessibility and usability of building information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management, governance, and flow of digital information using BIM processes.
  • Establish and manage requirements for the Common Data Environment (CDE) to enable secure, efficient data exchange.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 standards across all project information.
  • Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and clients to maintain model integration and data accuracy.
  • Provide training and support on BIM tools and workflows to project teams.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including Project Information Standards, Exchange Information Requirements, workflows, and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Represent the GDA at conferences and external events.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

  • Third-level qualification in Construction, Information Management, BIM, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in construction or BIM management.
  • Strong understanding of digital workflows, data management, and project lifecycle information requirements.
  • Experience implementing change management and operational procedures.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards.
  • Experience in developing and operationalising policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency with BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) and CDE platforms.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Public Works Contracts, or the Capital Works Management Framework.
