Dr Matt Kaeberlein, Professor of Pathology, Adjunct Professor of Genome Sciences & Adjunct Professor of Oral Health Sciences at the University of Washington is our latest 1% Podcast guest. Matt’s research is focused on the basic mechanisms of aging in order to facilitate translational interventions that promote healthspan and improve quality of life.
Traditional medicine focuses on longer lifespan over healthspan but with a better understanding of the biology of aging it may be possible to have both.
Outside of eating well, exercising and getting enough sleep there are other aging interventions such as Rapamycin that are proving themselves in clinical trials.
