Head of Finance

We are currently seeking a Head of Finance for a prominent not-for-profit organisation based in Dublin.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this leadership role will contribute to the organisation’s strategic goals and overall financial stewardship.

The successful candidate will join the senior management team, overseeing the Finance function and providing crucial financial insights to facilitate timely decision-making and effective governance by the organisation and its Board.

Key Responsibilities:

• Play a pivotal role in achieving key objectives outlined in the organisation’s ambitious and dynamic Strategic Plan.
• Ensure the effective management of finances in compliance with legislations, policies, procedures, and accounting principles, safeguarding and enhancing the organisation’s financial integrity.
• Manage external relations

Qualifications and Skills

• The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical, financial, and strategic planning expertise, coupled with strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• A Qualified Accountant with a minimum of ten years post-qualification experience, including several years in a senior finance management role, is sought.
• Desirable qualifications include experience in the not-for-profit sector and familiarity with Charities SORP.

Location

This position will primarily be based at the organisation’s offices in Dublin Centre, with the flexibility for hybrid/remote work arrangements.
