Diversity & Inclusion

Committed to advancing diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Using data-driven models, we eliminate racial, ethnic, disability, gender, or socio-cultural biases against all candidates or cohorts.

We understand, however, that achieving true plurality requires more than just merit-based recruitment. Many of our clients express diversity and inclusion as a point of consideration within their searches, with over 35% of mandates specifically requesting diversified longlists or shortlists.

This is a moral imperative and is statistically merited by performance impact. Research shows that companies with ethnically diverse leadership are 33% more likely to outperform on profitability and 21% more likely to have above-average profitability with a gender-diverse leadership base.

Unconscious bias

At Steering Point, we are committed to promoting and upholding principles of equality and inclusion in everything we do. Our consultants receive special training in unconscious bias, inclusive recruitment and other progressive D&I practices. We are committed to creating a more equitable and pluralistic workplace, both internally and externally.

Stratified Talent pools

Externally, we are increasing our efforts to connect with stratified talent pools and establish fruitful partnerships with new networks to identify unseen talent in the industry. At the same time, we are participating in instituting broader diversity guidelines among recruiters. We recognise the importance of supporting chairs and nominations committees in increasing their boards’ diversity, as putting a more diverse leadership cadre into place will accelerate everything happening underneath.

Committed to plurality

Through such concerted means, we encourage sustainable innovation and accelerate change within the corporate landscape. Diversity brings with it a plurality of ideas and human qualities essential to professional qualifications. At its core, suitability must be more inclusive, and we are committed to making the workplace more equitable and diverse for everyone.
